PROMO 4.0
From april 19 to 27, 2001.
For the first time in Montreal, 100 graduating students from Montreal's four major universities exhibit their work together.
An invitation to all interested in this new youth vibe, discover their works and the future trends of digital culture set by Montrealers.
A mosaique of ideas and experimentations, this exhibition presents the next generation of content producers.
PROMO 4.0 is a showcase of graduates from UQAM's Communication and multimedia faculty, Concordia University's Fine Arts faculty; University of Montreal's industrial design faculty and McGill University, Université de Montréal and the Monteal conservatory's Electroacoustic faculties; : interactive installations and sculptures integrating live video and sound caption electroacoustic concerts, live performances, web sites and CDRoms, all of the above presented on site and on-line.
Students may be center stage during this event yet a number of teachers and profesional artists share the spotlight with them through their live performances and concerts : alcides lanza, Osvaldo Budon, Andrew Brouse, Neam Cathod, Jean Piché, Robert Normandeau and Yves Daoust.
PROMO 4.0's opening hours :
Weekdays from 4PM onwards, and weekends from noon on wards.
Concerts and live performances will be offerd at 9PM.
