ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR FOR CHINA PROJECTS

The China Projects Group in the Faculty of Management of McGill University seeks a qualified Administrative Coordinator for projects dealing with professional training, executive development and management education in China.

The position requires experience and skills in project planning, implementation and coordination; general management and administration; public relations; report writing, correspondence and communications; record keeping, procurement and budgeting.

The position will entail working within the administrative and financial systems of McGill University. The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to work independently, take decisions, shoulder responsibility and be an effective team player. A college certificate is required; a university degree is desirable. Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential. Some proficiency in French and/or Chinese would be an asset. The candidate must be familiar with office automation equipment and office communication software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, fax and e-mail. The job is located at the downtown Montreal campus of McGill University.

The position offers contractual part-time employment for one year, commencing immediately, with the possibility of contract renewal subject to acceptable performance and availability of funds. Some work from home might be arranged. The job will entail 20 to 40 hours of work each week, with flexible daytime hours.
